Hi! Thanks for stopping by my website. I will try to keep it updated regularly, but the music comes before the website, and sometimes there's an awful lot of it that I have to do.
PRESS KIT BIO:
Brian Peters began formal training on the violin at 13 years old, studying classical music and playing in community orchestras and string quartets. A growing interest in other styles of music led him to learn a number of new instruments in the years that followed, including guitar and bass, the latter of which becoming the main instrument of his career. In the same time period, after hot-wiring two tape decks together to record himself playing multiple instrument parts at once, an obsession with audio engineering and creating records was born.
At 23 years old, Brian has worked on over 40 records as a musician, producer, or engineer. His career as a multi-instrumentalist has also grown, playing guitar, bass, violin, theremin, oboe, duduk, clarinet, nadaswaram, shehnai, mukhavina, tin whistle, piano, and blul, although he is currently only playing bass, duduk, guitar, and theremin professionally.
He is currently a member of seven time Grammy winner Paul Wertico's group, Paul Wertico Trio, and has worked on 10 records with Paul since 2003. He has also produced two records for critically acclaimed guitarist, John Moulder.
In 2007, Brian released his first solo record in over 5 years, entitled "Ampersand".
In addition to making records, Brian has played weekly with liturgical composer Rory Cooney for 10 years. In 2002, along with The Opposition guitarist Jeff Kranz, Brian created the underground fictional band, Grand Theft Marmot, as well as the lampoon websites, www.worldwidewebside.com and www.grandtheftmarmot.com  Brian is an active member of independent film group, Gang Entertainment, and has scored multiple films for other independent filmmakers. He has also done soundtrack work for various corporate jingles and promotional videos. In 2006, Brian teamed up with Gang Entertainment member Tyler Ventura, to create the internet show, "Channel Hamster".
